Youth Perspectives: a Peace Gallery
Community Dialogue: a World (Peace) Café experience
The Community Peace Summit was an opportunity to listen and learn from each other. After touring the Peace Gallery, the community was invited to participate in the World Café model of group dialogue. Community members got to share and explore themes of peace at tables facilitated by youth and members of a local Peace Affinity Working Group with representation from the Asia Pacific Peace Museum, University of Waterloo's Peace and Conflict Studies program, and Anabaptists for Nonviolent Defence. Some of the table drawings are shown on this page.
Throughout the Community Peace Summit, we enjoyed live music by Grace Scheele, an interdisciplinary performing artist, electroacoustic harpist, and composer working across a wide range of disciplines.
